CipherNode Platform Changelog

We have been making several improvements across CipherNode to make our Minecraft hosting platform more reliable, easier to use, and safer for customers managing their servers.

Backup System Improvements

We improved how backups are handled inside the panel to help make server recovery more reliable.

• Backup mount folders are now better protected from SFTP changes.
• This helps prevent accidental changes that could interfere with backup access.
• Backup restores now include better progress visibility while recovery is running.
• Restore cancellation support has been improved, giving users more control during the restore process.
• Backup deletion reliability has been improved to help prevent removed or outdated backups from staying visible in the panel.
• Backup mount visibility and synchronization have been improved, making active backup mounts easier to identify and manage.

These changes help make CipherNode’s backup system safer and more dependable when customers need to recover server files.

Checkout Improvements

We improved the checkout process to make ordering a CipherNode server smoother and easier.

• Checkout has been cleaned up for a more straightforward purchase experience.
• Payment method handling has been improved.
• Google Pay support has been added where available for faster checkout.

This should make it easier for new clients to order hosting without unnecessary confusion during payment.

File Manager Improvements

We improved the file manager experience for customers editing and managing server files through the panel.

• The file editor is now more stable and should no longer unexpectedly close editor panels while in use.
• Fixed an issue where users could not properly change file permissions.
• Fixed an issue where text search did not scroll correctly with the code editor.
• Fixed an issue that could cause imported server files to receive incorrect permissions.

Minecraft Mod Installer Improvements

We improved the Minecraft Mod Installer to make managing mods easier directly from the panel.

• Added support for changing mod versions.
• Added the ability to disable mods more easily.
• Added automatic dependency installation for supported mods.
• Added a “Server-side only” filter to help users find mods that do not require every player to install them client-side.

These improvements help CipherNode customers install and manage Minecraft mods with fewer missing dependency issues and less manual setup.

Panel and Resource Improvements

We made several improvements to the panel itself to improve accuracy, stability, and resource control.

• Disk space enforcement has been improved to help prevent servers from exceeding their allocated storage limits.
• This helps keep resource usage fair across the node and protects overall server stability.
• Fixed an issue where some servers could incorrectly appear offline in the panel even when they were running.
• Improved scheduled task reliability and timing accuracy.
• Scheduled tasks should now run more consistently, even during higher usage periods.
